Beaches Resorts Announces Plans for Beaches St Vincent
During a travel conference in Jamaica last week, Adam Stewart, the Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International - parent company of Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts - announced that the Beaches brand will be expanding even further than originally announced. This time to the beautiful island of Saint Vincent. Announcing: Beaches St Vincent.
Sandals Resorts opened up their Sandals St Vincent property there just a year ago, in 2024, causing a boom in tourism on the island. Many fans of the brand may remember that Sandals St. Vincent was originally set to be Beaches St. Vincent, but as the plans were underway it was decided they would switch it to a Sandals instead. They felt the property better fit the Sandals style than the Beaches style. But the plan for a Beaches resort on the island wasn't completely scrapped and now they're back on the table.
Where will this resort be located?
We don't have an exact location yet to know where this will be - though locals and resort staff have pointed to the Black Sands Resort located in the Peter's Hope section of the island.
Speculation of this location was fueled by a photo posted by the island's finance minister standing on the property and mentioning the discussion of Beaches Resorts on the island. Especially after reports of issues with the original developers in 2023.
Since then, all signs point to this location and until Sandals Resorts International says otherwise, all eyes are on the Black Sands Resort.
When can we expect this new resort to be ready to book?
There has been no timeline announced yet. Personally, I wouldn't expect to see this resort ready to book until at the very least early 2027. When Sandals announces projects, they do so with plenty of time to get the work done, and there are already multiple new Beaches Resorts properties in the works that have begun breaking ground. There is currently no news on breaking of ground on this property but as soon as it is announced I will be posting about it on this blog.
