Pre-Travel Information For
Sandals & Beaches Resorts

Sandals & Beaches Resorts - Before You Arrive

For all information about the resort and the vacation experience, you can visit the Sandals website or Beaches website and click the “Before You Arrive” button to read up on anything you need to know before you go. Please don’t hesitate to ask your Paradise Planner any questions you have, too. We are here to help.

Special Requests & Extras

Special Requests: If you have any questions, special requests, dietary needs, etc. that you’d like us to pass on to the hotel, or anything else you need assistance with, please let your Paradise Planner know so we can make sure that is taken care of for you ahead of arrival.

Free Sandals Honeymoon Package: Sandals offers a complimentary Honeymoon Package for all honeymooning guests. In order to request this package, you will need to fill out the form at the bottom of this webpage and include a copy of your wedding invitation. This must be applied for no later than 30 days prior to your arrival to give the resort time to prepare. If it is easier, you can provide your Paradise Planner with a photocopy of the invitation and we can apply for this for you instead.

Pre-Booking Extras: Let your Paradise Planner know if you’d like to pre-book any tours, spa treatments, private dinners, private transfers, etc. We can help you with this ahead of time so you don’t have to do it during your vacation time. Please see the "Book Vacations Extras" button on the side menu.

Butler Request Form: If you are booked in a butler level suite, it is recommended that you fill out a pre-arrival butler request form at both Sandals or Beaches Resorts.

Travel Documents

Travel Vouchers:  Your can request a PDF copy of your travel vouchers for Sandals/Beaches Resorts from your Paradise Planner, if you want a hardcopy. Otherwise, any invoice copy or your App will service as confirmation for you while on resort. You can print any copies and bring them with you, or keep them saved in your phone for easier access. The resort will not ask for these copies, they are only for you to have in case you need any of the information on them.

Passports & Travel Documents: Double check passports and all travel documents for accuracy and that they match completely. If anything looks incorrect let your Paradise Planner know as soon as possible so we can fix it for you. Make sure passports are ready to be packed or packed at least a few days before travel so you don’t run into an issue with it being misplaced.

Passport Expiration: Make sure your passport doesn’t expire before or during travel. To check the passport validity rule per your destination, visit this page.

Sandals Insurance: If you paid extra for the full insurance coverage, you can find your policy documents at https://www.tripmate.com/wpF389U/tic. If you still need insurance, Sandals cannot add it once the final payment is made. you will need to contact a third party company such as TravelGuard, Travel Safe, TripMate, Alianz, etc. for last minute coverage. Also, check with your credit card that you made the final payment with, as sometimes they will provide basic travel insurance if you pay for the trip using their card.

Airport VIP Service: If you are using a VIP airport service, such as Club MoBay in Jamaica, make sure to bring a copy of your confirmation with you. If you do not have a copy, check with your Paradise Planner and request one.

Service Personnel Discount: If you are traveling with a service personnel discount, please remember to bring your ID or discharge papers as proof to show upon check in. If asked and not provided, you’ll be responsible for paying the 10% difference.

Airline Information

International Flight Time: Please remember that airlines recommend arriving at the airport three hours prior to departure for international flights, and will close their check-in for flights and baggage at 45 minutes prior to departure when in the US and 60 minutes when outside of the US. Make sure to arrive with enough time to check-in and to go through security. To check the wait times for security at your airport, visit https://www.dhs.gov/check-wait-times.

Flight Updates/Alerts:  I highly recommend you download your airline’s app(s) or go to “manage my trip” on the airline website and enter your contact information into your flight reservation. This will allow you to get all the relevant updates on your flights including (but not limited to) schedule changes, gate changes, and cancellations. Your record locator number will be needed to log in, and can be found on your invoice copy.

Flight Check-In: Your flight check-in should be 24 hours before your take-off time. You’ll want to go to your airline’s website and use your record locator to log into your reservation and follow the steps for check-in. Or, if you’re not comfortable doing that online you can just go to the ticket counter at the airport on arrival and they will check you in there.

Baggage and Fees: Additional costs for baggage may apply. To find this information, visit our baggage page here.

Online Customs & Immigration Forms

Please take a look below and double check to see if your destination requires you to fill out the customs and immigration forms online up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Visit this Sandals site and check "Immigration Form" listed under your destination.

Resort Information

Resort Check-In: You’ll be able to check-in on the Sandals website now that you’re paid in full, up until 4 days prior to arrival. To do this you’ll want to go to the website and select the Online Check-In option. It’s important to do this so Sandals has your fight information on file for transfers (especially if you have complimentary private transfers with Sandals).

Sandals Online Check-In

Beaches Online Check-In

Credit Card Hold For Check In: The resort is going to require a credit card to be placed on file with a $400 hold for incidentals. This hold will be removed from your card upon check-out if nothing for spa, tours, gift shop, etc. are charged to the room. Please make sure you travel with a card that has enough available for the hold and that you alert the bank ahead of time to your travels so the hold isn't denied due to suspicious activity. You can usually use the banking app for your card to input travel information for the bank to know.

The Sandals App / GINA

The Sandals/Beaches app is a great tool for guests while on resort and even leading up to travel. You can download it in your the app store on your device for free.

If you have any issues while on resort, it’s recommended you use the Sandals app to submit a ticket for any issues that come up. The name of the button on the Sandals app is “Gina”. Any message thorough there goes directly to the phone of the management on resort so your concerns, requests, feedback, etc. can be documented and responded to in a timely manner. If you still have issues after submitting anything on the app, feel free to contact me immediately so I can expedite them to management.

Loyalty & Travel On Site Re-Bookings

While on resort there will be a Loyalty & Travel desk offering return guest discounts that are only available if you re-book on resort. You can absolutely rebook there if you wish and get the discounts not available once you’re back home, and the great news is, we can still work together on that future trip. All you have to do is once booked you’ll need to email your Paradise Planner the booking details and make clear that you want them as your agent on the new booking. If the booking isn’t transferred to your Paradise Planner then Sandals will refuse to let them work with you on all new bookings made on resort going forward.
